A lead? What's this? Kinda feels funny in my tummy.

Great first reaction, angle and speed to get to that ball, Denard!

I know it's not going to happen, but I'd just assume they leave Perkins in to close, rather than risk it with Capps.

Who are you - and what have you done with Matt Capps?

Jamey Carrrol is playing good ball. He must be close to leading the league in walks and his defense has been fine. I'd hold up on bringing up Dozier.

Just 10 more days and we'll get another one. Pitching was good, but offense is a scarcity: 5 hits in not gonna get it done most nights.

Hey how about that? A win! Not exactly a convincing win, but when you're this desperate for W's, you take them however you can get them.

Capps looked pretty good in the ninth. He keeps that up he may have some deadline value.

Well, our bullpen threw a no hitter.

Nice work Capps. It's all about building value at this point and that was a step in the right direction.

I agree with this. Definitely the player of the game tonight.

With 5 lefties coming up in the next 6 batters, that wouldn't be fair. Better stick with the Proven CloserTM. (Yes, that was sarcasm - I agree completely, but but Capps took care of business faster than I could type.)

Fine, but you will have to admit, Gardy wouldn't have had the "guts" to pinch hit Plouffe for Butera in the 7th, exposing the club w/o an emergency catcher or spare bench player...

Butera will catch every time Pavano pitches. That's how stupid this season has become.

Mauer hit at 2 out go ahead single? Let the complaining begin that he didn't hit a home run there! Nice pitching by the bullpen to get the win!

If Twins sweep Seattle and then start losing again when Gardenhire returns, then it might make sense for Gardenhire to take some more vacations.
