Awful team, terrible upper levels in the farm system, a GM that doesn't believe in big time free agents, a team that cut it's payroll in year 3 of a stadium (with, I think I've read, teh 5th highest ticket prices, really?), 25% of your money in one player.....the future does not look so bright.
Win Twins.

8-23. The Twins are now 4 games behind last year's 99-loss pace after 31 games.

Considering the size of the payroll, this might just be the worst professional baseball team ever assembled.

The Twins record would be substantially different with better starting pitching, but that starting pitching has to average out at some point. That is hopeful, I know.
Again this team is hampered by the immensely stupid contract handed out to Nick Blackburn. Like Nishioka, it is going to be time soon to cut the losses and try someone else. Marquis is better than Blackburn, but he is next.

Incredibly, the dropped pop up 10 feet in front of home plate was only #9 on ESPN's Top Ten Not Hot list.
