Fielder! Missed a tag twice at second trying to pick Mastroianni off!

At least we are hitting porcello. runs should come if that keeps up.
They were making a big deal that he'd allowed only 1 run in 20 innings.

You will enjoy the bunt play. Totally ironic that Laird got leveled by his own player after standing tall for two home plate tags.

I get sad everytime I was Porcello pitch. I watched a high school game of his and it was some Josh Beckett type stuff, mid-90's with a crazy cruve. Now he's pretty much Jon Garland.

    Oh what could have been...

Sure thought it was a fair ball.

Meanwhile more interesting plays in the infield. Span gets one off Porcello's glove for an RBI infield single.

For all of the Twins griping, be glad that Prince Fielder didn't level your CATCHER.

The difference is Fielder's weighs more than the two Twins runners combined.

Watching the balls and strikes on the internet, it looks like the home plate ump has a very small strike zone today. Is that true?

I thought at least a half dozen pitches called balls were strikes.

Tigers need less Fielders in the field and more fielders in the field. As brought up in the Casilla thread, Dombrowski has to be in denial at what's happening out there. It took Fielder almost 5 minutes to acknowledge that he almost ended his teammate's career, careless play, yes, but add oblivious and/or clueless- if not greviously indifferent to the description of his defensive ability.

BTW, this inning demonstrated that neither Fielder or Cabrera can see their own toes, let alone be able to touch them.

Of the Tigers games I've watched, Miggy really haven't been the abomination at 3B I thought he would be.

Agree. From what I've read, tiger fans have been pleasantly surprised. He's no gold glover, but he has made the plays he should make. I'd find a spot for him in thr twins lineup.

Yeah, he pulled an Air Jordan to grab Morneau's bases loaded line drive to save a couple runs.

Only ahead by two when outhitting them by 10. Time to put up a screen in front of the pitchers?
