Awesome - we get to watch more of this. Overtime!
That one's for you Chief.
I know the batting title isn't as exciting as it was when I was a kid, but Mauer is now just 5 points behind Trout for the league lead.
Edit: Miguel Cabrera went 3-4 today and is up to .333. Still, nine points are easily made up in 14 games.
FWIW, I think Miggy just sealed the MVP. 3-4, two homers, six RBI, batting average now up to .333.
Twins Baseb........Indians Baseball!
Trout's up in WAR, Cabrera is leading in OPS. Rookies usually get a bit of a disadvantage in the MVP votes plus Cabrera is 4 HR away from the Triple Crown. I too think Cabrera's the front funner at this point.
CF >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 35 point edge in SLG
What about that sloppy bowl of goulash known as Adam Dunn. Doesn't he deserve consideration for MVP? His .213BA and 39HR's must merit consideration. His stats are Kingmanian, while playing for the division leader none the less. Also, he is a gold glove Designated Hitter.
Twins win, but no one cares.
Mastro proves that he is vital on the roster. 21 stolen bases in such limited playing time!?
Hard to ignore Cabrera's 52 (!) more RBI.
Trout does lead with 18 more runs, though.
Trout is also fading while Miggy is coming on strong. Voters like that. Both are good candidates but i think Cabrera has more of the traditional qualities voters look for in an MVP.
