Hell, we've had three years of confirmation now that Drew Butera is an epically putrid hitter, why can't we get one month of Slamatime?

Again, I agree 110%. Not bringing him up seems like a travesty from every possible angle.

I suspect that Sabathia and Pettitte will still be able to beat the Twins when they are each 50 years old.

    Are they left-handed? Check.

    I have to concur.

Samuel Deduno left Wednesday's start against the Twins in the second inning after experiencing left eye irritation.

Deduno tried to convince Ron Gardenhire that he was OK to stay in the game, but he lost that battle. He tossed 1 2/3 scoreless innings before being replaced by Brian Duensing.

I took the afternoon off work, ordered MLB.TV for the rest of the season ($10), and have enjoyed actually watching today's game despite the unfortunate eye problem with Deduno and the bad inning by Duensing.

    Is anyone else out there?

Was at the game. Highlight was when the Yankees 3B forgot how many outs there were and started trotting toward the dugout with the ball after a force play at 3rd. He looked around, saw that no one was following, and realized his mistake. They showed a close-up replay on his face - everybody in the stadium could read his lips. Hardest I've laughed at a Twins game all season. A lot of crying, but not many laughs.
