The Twins were off today. In other baseball news, it was announced that Matt Harvey of the Mets has a partially torn UCL. He's getting the dreaded "rest and recovery" treatment many Twins fans are too familiar with. It's an unfortunate development for one of the best young arms in the game today.
Eddie Rosario was named Eastern League Player of the Week after his stellar week last week.
There was also a nice write-up about a few Twins prospects on Baseball America as well
We've been dealing with dreadful pitching in the major leagues pretty much everyday since... well... 2011. Today was more of the same. In fact, Kyle Gibson was sent back to Rochester after today's outing.
There were some other minor league moves as well. A.J. Pettersen was moved from New Britain to Fort Myers along with Matthew Summers. To make room, Fort Myers sent Alex Swim back across the street.
On a positive note, those in the FSNorth viewership got to see a glimpse

For those of you that read this regularly - and clamored for Andrew Albers to get his chance - you were probably pretty excited to see him as good as he was tonight for the Twins. Staff Ace? ROCHESTER RED WINGS 1, SYRACUSE CHIEFS 7
The first of a few action-free games from the Twins perspective.
Offensively, Oswaldo Arcia returned to AAA and homered. He also walked once and struck out once. Jeff Clement and Drew Butera both doubled.
Liam Hendriks pitched 5.1 innings.
Merry Gibsmas! Kyle Gibson made his Major League debut this afternoon in front of a nearly-packed house. If you're waiting to get home to watch Gibson's start on DVR, I won't ruin it for you.
ROCHESTER RED WINGS 0, SYRACUSE CHIEFS 1
Offensively, the Red Wings just didn't get it done. Doug Bernier and Jeff Clement both doubled and, throw in a Bernier single, that's all the hits they accounted for today.
Aaron Hicks struck out twice in an 0-for-4
Another slow day around baseball.
The Twins activated RP Matt Capps and optioned Kyle Waldrop back to Rochester. The Wings currently have six pitchers on the disabled list, so getting another arm is probably pretty welcome.
The Twins reached agreements with 23rd round pick P Travis Huber from Nebraska and 28th round pick P Carson Goldsmith.
It was also announced that 6th rounder Andre Martinez (P) will not actually sign after it was reported he agreed
