I'll let you know once the "2013 Twins" motion picture is over.

I don't think TR's quite at Plan 9 From Outer Space or The Last Airbender levels yet; but I love making that the metaphorical premise of the conversation.

I figure the declining performance of recent traded commodities is more responsible for the mediocre return than any GM accumen, give Ryan an up-and-comer to swap and we might still swindle somebody...I just don't think we have any body who is both up-and-coming AND easily given up.

I feel compelled to leave a comment primarily because I saw Unbreakable for the first time just yesterday.

There have certainly been a number of moves that have been puzzling. Had Ryan said this was a rebuilding year I would be OK with that.

He said he expected the Twins to be competitive this year. If he really believed that then we have serious issues in the FO. Almost no one here at TD really thought that. And we're just avid fans, not full time baseball people.

If he never really believed it, well, I don't appreciate any more than anyone else being lied to. Which is it?

And is either of those acceptable?

That makes a lot of sense.

I feel bad for Klaus, but he needs to keep his anger in check - hopefully the umbrella shields him from the alimony suit that will be brought his way.

I wish I would have run into you - it would have made the party a more positive experience for me - but what the heck - maybe next year.

From what I've heard, Buxton seems like the kind of guy who has that desire to win. I could be wrong though.

If it is any consolation, Ah-Ha had the best song of the three I mentioned... and their video for "Take On Me" was totally RAD for that period of time.

Hello gil4 - No misconception here. Reading text out of a book is just that. I have met Satan face to face - he looks sort of like Errol Flynn with a high octane tan. He comes and goes as he likes. I agree with you that he may be on the loose, but he certainly has a base of operations. Also, he is no inmate, he is the head honcho, believe me, he rules with an iron fist.

In hell, there is no ability to laugh, cry, be angry, be happy, be hopeful – the best that I can describe it is as a blank, zombie like reaction to everything thrown at you. Nothing more – nothing less.
Does that description hold for purgatory, as well? Given how strongly this colorfully rich descriptor of baseball hell resembles Gardy's reaction to Correia's 8th inning meltdown- coupled with his contract extension predicament and your "threadbare" forecast of imminent SP implosion, I think he is, and will be, often in a similar place in 2013.

Are you sure it wasn't Nishioka that put the hit on you? Oh that's right - he couldn't hit anything over here in the US.
