He'd likely be put on the 60 Day Disabled List as soon as they could in the season. A team will sign him to a contract knowing that he likely wouldn't be able to pitch in a big league game until at least June 1. Based on the Kyle Gibson TJ recovery timeline, Baker should be ready to pitch in May, but a team would be wise to see how spring training goes and determine a plan for rehab appearances. Other option is to sign him to a minor league contract with an opt-out date of like July 1. But, that's unlikely. HE'll get a MLB contract.

Manship did well for Rochester as a starter, and I'd like to see him get 6-7 starts at the end of the season. (I'd also like to see Hendriks come up after Rochester's season is done and push Blackburn to the bullpen for the rest of the season.) As for Guerra, I tend to agree with you, and yet, the Twins need to decide if they're going to contend next year or not. If they're looking to 2014, then there's no harm in keeping him around and giving him April and May to make an impression. I still believe in Rene Tosoni despite this being immensely disappointing, but I tend to agree with you on that one too, but for a different reason. Arcia's on the 40 man, and Hicks needs to be added after the season. You have them adding Hicks, Gibson and Bromberg. I"m a big Bromberg guy, but I'd be shocked if he was added again at this time. Here are some other names that have to be considered for adding to the 40 man: Chris Herrmann (given), BJ Hermsen (probable), Dakota Watts and Bruce Pugh (I'd think at least one of them), Danny Santana (pure SS with a little pop, I think he's added). Adrian Salcedo would have been if not for a lost, injury-filled season. What about Michael Tonkin? Deibinson Romero could be a minor league free agent, and he's had a good year. Could he be added again? Where does Anthony Slama fit in? How about Caleb Thielbar? Because of all of those, I wouldn't be surprised if there are quite a few players dropped from the current 40 man (including Deduno and De Vries, maybe?) and hopefully Blackburn. Good discussion! Thanks for the post and I may be a little higher on Bromberg than I should be. Personally, I'd give him a shot to make the majors next year if he continues to finish strong in ROC. Herrmann and Slama were two big ones I overlooked and I thought Hermsen was another year away from having to be added (5 years of minor league ownership before Rule 5 qualification?). It must be four if you're also including Santana and Tonkin as well. Maybe I'm wrong. I would be surprised if Santana and Tonkin were added because they aren't very high upside guys and both are still in A+. Pugh and Watts could both be good internal bullpen options, but I'd lean more towards Pugh. Overall I like Pugh, Herrmann, Hermsen, Thielbar, and Slama as additions. That's over 40 though. Just goes to show how competitive players will have to be to earn a spot.

A lot of this got messed up as far as spacing goes too. I carefully edited this so it's a bit of a drag as well. Didn't catch the problem with the Note. I was hoping I could take on one last minute thing before posting without screwing up. Cookies will be rewarded to those who find it.
None of the pictures worked....really? I spent a lot of time on this with huge aspirations of making the front page someday!! How can I do that without visual aid? Now my photo credits are nothing more than advertisements to the big business....they don't deserve them at all Alright, no more ranting. lol no big deal
Here's how I'd edit the bottom 11. 40. Jason Wheeler, SP 41. Tim Shibuya, SP 42. Lance Ray, OF 43. Josh Burris, RP 44. Tom Stuifbergen, SP 45. James Beresford, SS 46. Cole Nelson, SP 47. Tyler Duffey, RP 48. Carlos Guitierrez, RP 49. Josmil Pinto, C 50. Christian Powell, RP
Now you have to put someone else in for Mazzeli, because he didn't sign before the deadline.
Good list. Bruce Pugh is pretty dominant right now. I am going to be moving him up my list quite a bit.
Not the Worst farm system actually rated in the top 20 overall.... of the 30 teams without question to me, but, its definately outside the top 10. Evan Bigley OF - New Britian would be in my top 50. Caleb Theilbar RP - might be right at #50. Angel Morales OF - would be no higher than 35. There are a few others.... but for the most part good list YOur House MY House.
The worst farm system in MLB without question. Not one impact pitcher among the bunch. Oh well we have Scott Diamond and Brian Duensing we should be fine.
Good list, and I like having Arcia so high. Between his hitting ability (hasn't lost a step moving up to AA so far) and the young age, he should be shooting up most lists. I might move Wimmers down a little, since he's very much in limbo right now.
A tear of joy has appeared in my eye with the news he would be included. Justice has once again been served on the Twins Daily site. God Bless America.

The Torrance Tornado...How could I forget? I'd probably slot him 40 above Shibuya. Like the criticism so far and wouldn't mind some more. I do love feedback.
Like it the list. Particularly have Oswaldo so high. The guy can rake. I do have to give a shout out to one of the two pitchers with the most most organization wins...Jason Wheeler- 10 and 4. I think in the 50 he could have some slot maybe taken by a guy who has not thrown a professional pitch or has been out performed by him at Beloit. You know I have to defend the honor of my Adopt a Prospect.
Pretend you have him at #46, since Mazzilli hasn't signed yet (although until 4:00 tomorrow, he still could.)
SNUBBED: Cole Nelson If only I could edit blogs like I can comments.
He's hitting for more power than I expected. The .130 average he had earlier wasn't going to hold, but it still remains to be seen if he will hit enough (or defend well enough) to stay in the league. I'm reasonably optimistic, but then I guess I always am (except when I'm unreasonably optimistic.)
