Every affiliate was involved in a transaction today. The Red Wings placed P Liam Hendriks on the DL with right elbow inflammation. OF Antoan Richardson will take his place. The RockCats, losing Richardson to Rochester, get Deibinson Romero, who finally arrived in the States and is ready to play baseball. The Miracle activated OF Nate “That Pitch Hit Me” Roberts and sent INF Joel Licon back across the street. The Kernels add C Michael Quesada, ...
If you missed Cody's minor league report from yesterday, you can read it here. Seth also made his choice for Twins minor league Hitter of the Month. Andrew wrote up about Alex Meyer's last start. There is a lot of draft info that cmb0252 put together into one thread. And after yesterday's minor shuffle in Rochester, the R&P page has been updated as well. On a separate note, after listening to the new Macklemore song "Can't Hold Us" a few times today, I'm ...

It's April 22, yet we're experiencing another snowstorm. The Twins were postponed and will play a split-doubleheader tomorrow (hopefully; I wouldn't bet on it). And despite having a day-off Wednesday, there won't be a game because the Marlins have 20 straight days with games starting Thursday, so they can't play Wednesday. Only three affiliates were in action today, let's see how they did: espn.com (Bruce Kluckhohn/Getty Images) ...
The Twins just got back over .500 (again) while a top prospect is starting to heat up. Attachment 3681 There was a lot going on in the minor leagues today. You can read about it and catch up (or comment) here. After taking in three Kernels games in Cedar Rapids, Seth is driving back to reality tonight. So I'm pinch-writing. Like any back-of-the-rotation starter, you'll have to put up with me once (and sometimes twice) a week. I'm ...
One of my favorite days of the year is the day I open my mailbox and see a cardboard box just big enough to hold the Baseball America Prospect Handbook. The first thing I do is read each of the 30 capsules about the Twins prospects. Then I proceed to read each of the other 870 reports in the book, usually a few times. This year they added a new feature: the BA Grade along with the Risk Factor. Essentially, it makes it possible to compare all 900 prospects. If you want a general ...
Happy Memorial Day! Jason Marquis was not claimed on release waivers – and both Marquis and the Twins declined sending him to Rochester – thus making him a free agent. The Twins will continue to pay the remainder of the $3 million owed to Marquis. If another team signs him to the minimum, the Twins bill will go down that much (probably $480,000). His – and Erik Komatsu’s – removal from the 40-man leaves the roster at 38 men. Gardenhire also said he didn’t expect ...

It was a week ago that Jered Weaver no-hit the Twins. That feat will not be repeated tonight. This is the minor league report so you won’t see Brian Dozier’s name below as he’s making his big-league debut at Target Field tonight. Congrats Brian! As you may have heard, Rochester and New Britain swapped OF Joe Benson for SS Pedro Florimon. This should help alleviate the logjam in the Red Wings outfield and hopefully help Benson get out of his current funk. ...
