I disliked John Moses and did so vehemently. Mostly it was unfounded as it was because he simply replaced Tom Brunansky in RF when Bruno was traded for the human puddle of vomit. Side note, I also disliked the human puddle of vomit. I loved Bruno and no one was going to replace him, I would have felt better if the team had run only eight defenders out each inning and just asked Puckett and Gladden to cover the entire outfield.

I did enjoy one thing about Moses; he was the first position player that I remember coming in to pitch in a blowout. It wasn't a new practice but it was novel to me. The Twins actually asked him to pitch three times, though Cuddyer, Butera and Carroll laugh at his 9.00 career ERA.

You read my mind - if I was going to write something about the trade, those two lines would have been part of it. I'm not sure when I'll get over it, but we aren't even close to it right now.

Oh yeah, he definitely was not bad. I could see where some would have been disappointed with his injury and lack of home run power, but those things would have evened out (and did).

Uehara was only good as an MLB pitcher, not good as a class A pitcher. So, it just depends on which league you value more.
    Great line.

No trade pissed me off more then this one. When I first heard we were thinking about trading Hardy U thought they were crazy. His 2010 wasn't even that bad. He was the SS we had been looking for for a long time. And we gave him away for nothing! Hoey was a massive bust. SS is our weakest spot, and the guy we had is killing it in Baltimore.

Don't know how long it will take me to get over this one...

It's pretty low, but Dozier's emergence these past couple months gives it a slight boost. Let's say 2.0. Solid, but he'll need to build on it to be part of the long-term plans.

Here are the top 10 second-year players in Twins history, sorted by rWAR:

    1. Tom Brunansky - 5.6 WAR
    2. Chuck Knoblauch - 5.3 WAR
    3. Lew Ford - 4.4 WAR
What do you suppose is Bruno's WAR as a hitting coach?

100% agree. It was senseless timing.

You will never convince me that having Santana on that 2008 team wouldn't have added at least one win to the Twins' total. Never!

That entire off-season was a nightmare.

They twins lost Garza, Hunter, Santana, and during the season Castillo and got next to nothing of value in return.

Yes and yes. I actually am writing something about current players who I think should be in the Hall of Fame. Beltran has had a really excellent, underrated career.

The only good think about Boof other than his name was seeing a Triple Play happen against the Mariners. Those don't happen everyday.

Probably a bad post-game buffet. His quotes are certainly interesting. He was clearly not happy to leave Detroit.
