Aaron Hicks goes 5-6 today with 2 doubles and a homerun. He also scored 5 runs. This brings his average up to .284. Good to see this kid finally starting to blossom and I will eagerly anticipate how mangagement plays this out the rest of the year.

I wonder if there is any chance the Twins promote him before the year is finished. I would assume not - it's pretty late in the minors season already.

I suppose it is possible. Seems unlikely though. He has been inconsistent this year, which may mean he isn't quite ready to move up. It appears New Britian is in a pennant race, another reason to leave him there.

Unless Span or Revere were traded before the trade deadline, then maybe the Twins might bring Hicks up for a look see. It would more likely be Benson or Parmalee, I would think.

Hicks and Arcia could be September call-up (after a New Britain playoff run, hopefully), but it depends on a few things. Will they call up Benson and/or Tosoni? Will one or two of the outfielders get traded?I'd put the odds at low, but it's exciting that he's playing like this.
