Good grief he's not dead! He'll be back by July if not sooner.
Whats your take on 18 year old Carlos Salazar RHP? the kid has 4 pitches and hits 97mph...
I am starting to feel like we have seen enough of Parmelee, but a sub .600 OPS will make a fan cranky. Still pulling for the kid but he is running out of time. I have great faith in Arcia and think he will be a big part of the Twins future. There was a really fine article here by Parker on how the MLB pitchers were forcing him to change how he swings the bat. Great! Now they know what he has to work on. Get it done in AAA and get him back here.
Service time, and playing regularly. The Twins NEED to see more of Parmelee, it seems, at the moment.
It's still a little to early to tell. You can't pin this all on Gardy. It was Ryan that couldn't afford a SP, didn't need any infield help and traded away all there centerfielders!
You couldn't find 10 reasons to like Twin's Daily so you came up with this?
IThe only affiliate I have seen play is New Britain, and that was almost 5 years ago om he road (in Norwich, CT, against the Cnnecticut Defenders). I would say the Cedar Rapids promotions of hitting home runs and winning games are the best.
When I toured the farm system last year and saw all the teams I got to compare their game-day experiences. The A affiliate was Beloit, not Cedar Rapids, so I don't know how they compare, but I found the best experience, including promos, in New Britain. Elizabethton was a close second.
This adjustment was expected. We've known the type of hitter Arcia is for a few years now. It was expected that pitchers would start to try and make him chase out of the zone. Good analysis Parker. I'd like to have the inside info about how they are trying to get Arcia to adjust.
I don't know. How many starts before Correia is over 5 for the season?
First, "views" does not equal "reads" does it? I have often wondered what percentage of "viewers" ended up being readers. Also, I like your idea, though I am not sure about Meyer. I liked Albers when the Twins first signed him and he has really produced.
This was awesome. I am glad I found it after all this time.
From what I've heard, Buxton seems like the kind of guy who has that desire to win. I could be wrong though.

Isn't Ball a little more out of the picture for the Twins than guys like Manaea and Meadows (whom you profiled in the last couple days)? He is certainly intriguing. Is there a reason we haven't heard him mentioned alongside someone like Kohl Stewart?
Yes, how about a rotation that includes BOTH Gibson and Deduno!?
I would prefer Gibson just because he is someone to hope on for the future. If everything works out for Deduno at best he is a 1 or 2 year fix. Gibson is a long term solution to this team's biggest weakness -starting pitching.
Thanks for this Shane, for the record I read your 1B breakdown and look forward to future installments.
