Twins SS options

If the proposed trade between the Marlins/Blue Jays takes place, Yunel Escobar would be a Marlin.I think he would be an option the Twins should look at ss. 5M for 2013 with a 5M CLUB option for 2014 and 2015. A decent price for a ss who has had some good season's both offensively and defensively. The drawback might be his character. Might be a clubhouse cancer. The Marlins might trade him for a couple of minor leaguers and at the right trade price I think the Twins should be interested. We need a major league ss on the field, and can't afford to trade Span for a ss. Any FA signing for any ss(as good as Escobar) will probably cost more than 5M and you have 2 years of options at 5M a year with Escobar.Worth taking the chance on him if the price is right. Plus you can bat him 2nd, 6th, 7th, 8th depending upon what your line-up looks like. And you can opt out after 1 year if he doesn't work out. TR likes not being obligated more than 1 year.
