ID:	2382During the first half of the season, Jamey Carroll seemed to be showing his age. By the All-Star break, he was hitting .234 with a brutal .597 OPS, and he had long since lost his job as the team's starting shortstop. He was certainly making his two-year, $6.5 million contract look like a poor investment.

  2. Solid first win for the Twins

    Feels good to get that first win under our belt.

    Solid outing for the Twins. It wasn't perfect, but we all know this isn't a team that going to be perfect. Pavano was good, but not great. Worst inning for him was the 5th when Bourjos got the inside-the-park home run. Willingham couldn't make the play. His defense isn't the best, and Revere might have made that catch. If Willingham continues to crush the ball, missing a catch or two doesn't matter.
