  • Series Preview: Twins vs. Angels, 4/15

It has been a rough week for the Twins. After opening the season 4-2 with series wins over Detroit and Baltimore, the Twins have reeled off five losses in a row against the Royals and Mets.

Thankfully, the Angels have been just as bad this season. With only four wins in their first 12 games, Los Angeles' AL team has disappointed in this young season.

To liven up the woeful offense, the Twins have called up young outfielder Oswaldo Arcia from AAA Rochester. OPSing at a meager 1.293 over his first 34 ABs in AAA, Arcia hasn't had trouble hitting anywhere in quite some time and I'm sure he hopes to continue that trend in Minneapolis this week. On the pitching front, Liam Hendriks has been returned to Rochester and replaced by Saturday's starter, Scott Diamond, who gave up 4 ER in 4.1 IP against the Mets.

Small sample size. Get back to us after the third inning and we'll look at it again.

Good for you rook - nice first AB right there.

Also, when is the last time Mauer turned on a ball like that to right center? That's a homerun 99% of the time, was almost surprised seeing it.

Is anyone posting to the Fun With Numbers thread to extrapolate on Oswaldo's future?

Arcia is batting 1000 for his career. That is the 2nd highest career batting average of all time.

While I did predict three hits for Harris, I would love to see him take a called third.

Who was making fun of Harris pre game? Take your responsibility for what just happened!

A horse went into a bar and the bartender asked, “Hey buddy, why the long face?” “Correia’s pitching to Harris,” the horse replied. (Stolen from Riverbrian)

Anyone going to start a thread about how Twins batting coaches ruined Harris? Just look how good he can be.
