• Series Preview: Twins vs. Angels, 4/15

It has been a rough week for the Twins. After opening the season 4-2 with series wins over Detroit and Baltimore, the Twins have reeled off five losses in a row against the Royals and Mets.

Thankfully, the Angels have been just as bad this season. With only four wins in their first 12 games, Los Angeles' AL team has disappointed in this young season.

To liven up the woeful offense, the Twins have called up young outfielder Oswaldo Arcia from AAA Rochester. OPSing at a meager 1.293 over his first 34 ABs in AAA, Arcia hasn't had trouble hitting anywhere in quite some time and I'm sure he hopes to continue that trend in Minneapolis this week. On the pitching front, Liam Hendriks has been returned to Rochester and replaced by Saturday's starter, Scott Diamond, who gave up 4 ER in 4.1 IP against the Mets.

Good call. Within experimental error, at least.

Alright, Trout stealing 3rd vs. Mauer catching. Sounds like an even matchup.

SSS was his problem here, he can hit enough to be in the majors. I like him as a backup 1B, SS, 3B.

Still, you got that 2 balls would go out (so far), you just picked the wrong sluggers, instead of Bourjos (23 lifetime HR now) and Harris (30). And your guys may still come through.

And now it's time for Doumit to get us a lead.

Doumit is having way too many Hicksish type of ABs this year. That was... bad.

OK, three innings in, NOW it is safe to say things are shaping up that way.

Goes faster if you forget about order entirely.

I won't deny a small satisfaction with planting the remains of last night's leftover peking chicken in the men's room a half hour before lunch. You know, when everything works out just right.

Sheesh, is Bert even watching the game? Sorry to interrupt you there, just a Twins home run, no big deal.

KC, making a great 1-2 pitch -- right down the middle. #pitchtocontact
