• Series Preview: Twins vs. Rangers, 4/25

One might say this is the first real test of the Twins pitching staff. The Texas Rangers, co-owners of the American League's best record at 14-7, are coming to town and the weather is finally going to warm up in the Twin Cities. Until this point, the Twins have played nearly every game of the season in horrible weather, with game-time temperatures sitting in the 30s but over the weekend, we can expect several 60 degree game starts.

How will the Twins' pitching staff hold up against the potent Rangers offense? This series could be a test of whether the Twins, sitting at 9-8 and just half a game out of first place in the American League Central, are marginal contenders in a weak division or pretenders who have received more than their fair share of luck early in the season, going 5-0 in one run games thus far in 2013.

One glimmer of hope for the Twins is that they're sending some of their best pitchers to the mound in the series: Kevin Correia, de facto 2013 ace, Vance Worley, coming off a solid start against the White Sox, and Scott Diamond, de facto 2012 ace. No matter how you look at it, this should be a tough series for the Twins.

Browns with the 6th pick take some guy named Barkevious Mingo.

I understand that Bob and John may be falling out of style. But... What Mom... Looks at a newborn son and says... I will call him Barkevious.

lol... Ok... You are changing his nose. Took me awhile to figure that out.

Keep changing noses until you find one that produces a run for us.

At least Hicks and Florimon at the bottom of our lineup worked a few more pitches out of the Adonis of the Pitching Mound. But I sure would like to see a hit pretty soon.

Gotta go run and get some dinner. BRB.

How many cowboy hats will end up on TF's grass before the end of Saturday's game? I put the over/under at 5,000.

Worley looks frustrated with himself out there.

Nice play to end the inning, though.
