  • Series Preview: Twins @ Red Sox, 5/6

The Twins continue their difficult road trip this week by heading to Boston to face one of baseball's hottest teams and co-owners of the best record in MLB. The Red Sox, 20-11 through their first 31 games, have surprised much of baseball by jumping to the front of the tough AL East division and staying there for the month of April.

Boston has stayed atop the division with a balanced approach: at .784, they are second in the AL in OPS while their pitching staff has a 3.62 ERA, good for fifth in the league.

The Twins, already just 2-4 on this road trip, now have to enter Fenway Park in a four game set in an attempt to salvage the road trip and get back to Minnesota with a .500 record. It won't be an easy task.

Can we do it every other half innings so that it's only Twins?

Chief will never catch up because he thinks before he posts. I on the other hand can give you a good run for the money.

Generally, I'm all about quality, not quantity, but in the case of this board, I gotta go with what I can achieve.

So far this game has addressed my concerns about this team being mediocre on table-setting and downright poor on power.

Is Buchholz one of those pitchers who announcers say you'd better get to early, or else you won't at all?

I have Arenado and Middlebrooks on my Fantasy team... Plouffe is available on waivers. I have room for two 3B.

      Advice?

I agree... He should've been facing fastballs 3-0. One bad swing changed it all.

Well, if you want to take the bat out of a rookie's hands at 2-0, not a bad choice BTW, you aren't going to give him the green light on 3-0 are you? Maybe not even on 3-1, with the bases loaded?

(Then again, it's Hicks to follow.)
