  • Series Preview: Twins @ Braves, 5/20-5/22

Well, the expected has arrived: the Minnesota Twins starting rotation has begun to implode and the bats have gone silent in response.

Losers of five straight while being outscored 33-14 in those matchups, the Twins head back out on the road and face the Atlanta Braves, owners of a 12-5 record at Turner Field and the 6th-best staff ERA in baseball.

Don't expect things to get easier any time soon, Twins fans.

FSN post-game wrapup: 'Kevin Correia struggles with turning back into Kevin Correia'.

Which is the more powerful and inevitable force... gravity, or the rise of Correia's ERA toward five?

Oh well, at least Caleb Thielbar's parents and the other citizens of Randolph, MN enjoined the game.

---It's not bad enough that the Twins have lost 6 in a row and look poised for another season in the crapper? You had to bring that up as well?

What's it gonna be when we make it 7 in a row tomorrow - Jonny Flynn over Steph Curry?

Silver lining.....once it gets dark out, my lawn looks awesome.

Now all I need to do is convince the sun to stop rising.

Yes, Gandalf, a fool's hope. But a hope nonetheless.
Fools hope? Looks like we're at the gates of Mordor out there...Correia appeared to want no part of a good, but not great Braves lineup. Imagine when KC actually enters through the Black Gate and into the realm- ie, this Saturday in Detroit- AKA Mount Doom- The Tigers are 1st in the enitre MLB realm in Runs Scored/BA/OBP and OPS. Like Froto said in LOTR, I think Correia is at about this point: "It's just a feeling. I don't think I'll be coming back."
