• Series Preview: Twins vs White Sox, 6/18-6/20

Looking to get back on track after a disappointing series against the Tigers, the Twins and White Sox square off in a three game battle royale for sole possession of the American League Central cellar.

The Twins will miss Jake Peavy (15 Day DL) but get the chance to face Chris Sale in game two of the series. Sale has had a stellar season for the South Siders, striking out a batter per inning while keeping opponents' Batting Average under the Mendoza line for the season. Countering for the Twins are Pelfrey, Correia, and Diamond.

I suppose I shouldn't be surprised thta looking at the pitching matchups, things look a little bleak in all 3 games. Fortunately, there is also offense to consider. For instance, despite the Twins sending out a 6.12 ERA tonight, they're favored today (very slightly) by Vegas.

I think that Pelfrey's recent outing factor into that as well.

He does seem to be getting stronger.

And the White Sox are not exactly a major offensive force.

You should type that in size 7 font to match how I feel about the White Sox.

I have to Coach a game tonight so I'll miss most... If not all... Of the game thread...

Chief... You can have my proxy to post for me... Ashbury didn't do a good job last time.

Remember to throw in a Glormism when Glorm finally arrives.

I thought I did an outstanding job that night. I increased your prestige by not posting very much in your name.

MLB.tv free game o' the day, though I'm sure the blackout rules still apply so, most likely, it doesn't help many.

Hammer's back in the lineup and gets a single. Hope this means the R&R he got is all he needed.
