• Series Preview: Twins vs Royals, 6/27-6/30

The fourth place Minnesota Twins look to get back on track against the third place Kansas City Royals in a four game set at Target Field. It will be a daunting task, as the Royals will be sending both Ervin Santana and James Shields to the mound in the series.

But what Twins fans are most interested in seeing is the MLB introduction of Kyle Gibson, a right-hander that fans have been clamoring to see in Minnesota since Opening Day. The 25 year-old started 15 games for the Red Wings, posting a 3.01 ERA with a 7.7 K/9 ratio and 2.7 walks per nine innings. Gibson is the first of what Twins fans hope is the emergence of a young, above average pitching corps and hope to see fellow prospects Trevor May and Alex Meyer join Gibson on the roster in September.

I just signed in after a long but productive phone call, just in time for the Twins' first run. Let's hope for a blowout tonight to make up for the Miami debacle.

I'm not a huge NBA fan... I kinda pull for the Wolves when I can muster the energy.

Watching the draft results on the Crawl... Is it safe to say that the draft took a left turn right around pick number one and it kept turning.

      Noel went 6th? Zeller 4th?

Not one to tell you how to do your job, Glorm, but this seems to be just asking for a ban, no?

It is indeed asking for a ban, but then he could ban me back.

Hey Chief... Now that Glorm is gone... I can safely post this:

Wolves trade 1st round pick Trey Burke to Utah for two additional first rounders at #14 and #21.

#14 was used to Pick something called Shabazz.

That's the best generic soda pop out there. I think the T-Wolves made out well.
