Minnesota Twins News & Rumors Forum
  • Royals vs. Twins, 06/29/2012, 7:10pm

After struggling in a three game set against the White Sox and dropping two of three, the Twins look to get back on track against the fourth place Kansas City Royals tonight at 7pm.

Right-hander Luis Mendoza takes the mound against Brian Duensing, who will take the mound as a starter for the second time after giving up four earned runs in three innings against the Reds earlier in the week.

Will the Twins get back on track against the Royals in this four game set? What are your thoughts on Duensing staying in the rotation semi-permanently? Are you sorry to see Manship go? Without Jeff in the bullpen, how will opposing teams score against the Twins bullpen? It all seems a little unfair to me.

As always, join the Twins Daily game conversation today and let us know what you think! As always, you can find the conversation at just below the stat sheets in this article.

I hate it when I check the score in the first inning and Twins are already behind.

Wow, the system does not like this thread. I think I have it fixed now.

I'm not sure if I'm getting the best of the deal when I have to watch the Royals announcers. Dickbert v. Hudler is a knock - down drag out if I've ever seen one.

It was until RP came along and locked the thread.

Rex Hudler might be worse than Hawk. Really, I'm not joking. I had to listen to him for many years when I lived in LA and followed the Angels.

He was busted for marijuana possession because he walked through an airport metal detector with weed shoved down his pants... Weed wrapped in tin foil.

He may be the dumbest man on the planet.

Hudler is definitely his own brand of brutal.

I kust have been trying to post while you were a fixin' because I got a strange message about following an invalid link. Fortunately, I'm not prone to fits of violent rage.

I hate being behind in the first inning almost every damn game. I hate the fact that the Twins have failed to develop even a marginally decent group of starting pitching prospects. And I hate feeling like there is little hope for improvement.

He was probably stoned out of his mind to do something that stupid.

I wish that Plouffe would hit one so hard that he injures a Royals fan who is sitting in the upper deck.

If you listen to the man speak for more than a few minutes, you realize that he's either stoned every waking moment or he's just really, really dumb.

I don't call people on television stupid often but christ... I mean, there's just no other way to describe Hudler. He's constantly tossing out jewels like "what the Angels need to do here is score more runs... that's how you win ballgames" or "things are going bad when you give up a home run" or "what the (list infielder) needed to do there was catch the ball".

Really, it's jaw-dropping at times. I listened to the guy for what seemed to be an eternity (probably more like 6-7 years) and he never failed to toss out a few statements so stunningly dense every season that everyone in the room would stop for a moment and just look at one another silently. It's as if he was actually trying to sound that idiotic... Except he wasn't.

As a 32 year resident of Los Angeles, I can certify that we have lots of people who often seem totally stoned, and nowadays anyone can get a prescription to get stoned.

Oh, I lived there for ten years. I know what it's like. It wouldn't surprise me if Hudler was stoned all the time but I'm pretty confident in saying that he didn't start the game off with many marbles in the first place.
