• Twins vs White Sox, 07-24-2012, 7:10pm

Francisco Liriano had a disappointing night against the Sox last night, giving up seven runs before getting the hook in the third inning. It could deal quite a blow to the front office's trade expectations from the player but thankfully, Liriano will be able to make one more redemption start before the trade deadline is over, should teams need reassurance.

Tonight, Cole De Vries looks to build on his recent success against the Orioles. Countering him, the White Sox will send out lefty Jose Quintan, who has helped power the Sox to first place in the AL Central over the past two months.

What do you expect from De Vries tonight? Will he be able to contain the White Sox in the bandbox that is US Cellular? How much did Liriano hurt his trade value with last night's start? As always, join the Twins Daily discussion below and talk about it!

Of course. But that wasn't the case.

That's a stretch, I don't get the impression the majority of posters are naively believing we have a great team. Actually my post illustrates how much more this team really needs besides quality starting pitching. As LEN III pointed out in the Strib, Twins starters have gone 6+ innings in 6 of the last 7 games and the team is 2-5 during that time. Thinking that all we need to do is shore up the rotation is the proverbial finger in the dike.
