• Twins vs Indians, 07-27-2012, 7:10pm

The Twins received an off-day and a return trip to Target Field after a humiliating three-game series where Minnesota was outscored 26-10. The Twins will try to put that road trip behind them and get back on track against the Indians and Josh Tomlin. This is the last full series before the trade deadline so keep an eye on the Twins possible trade chips... Let's hope they all string together a good series.

On the good news front, the Star-Tribune has reported that it's likely Trevor Plouffe will return to action today after suffered a bruised thumb on the road trip. After the showing in Chicago, his bat will be a welcome addition in the Minnesota lineup.

What do you expect from the Twins over the weekend? How will they fare against the Indians in Target Field? Join the Twins Daily discussion below and tell us about it!

I see the Twins don't have a starting pitcher tonight.

And most days, that's an improvement.

Could someone remind me what happened to Plouffe's thumb? I can't remember how he got the injury.

This Indians pitcher is excrutiatingly slow.

Not as excruciating as listening to Dick harp incessantly on his delivery.

"Have I told you how often he strikes out?"

I can't say I remember seeing him hit one onto the plaza like that yet. That was a bomb.

That Morneau homer was a monster.

The Twins just play the game the right way. Like, getting the first two batters of the inning on base and not even advancing them.

I blame Casilla bunting/hitting skills for that one. The ball that that Span hit could have fallen in the CF was slower.

The good news is that Diamond is perfect through 3.

I agree with you on that one. It's just frustrating how bad the Twins have been the last two years in situations like that. They don't do the little things anymore.

Agreed. The little things used to be what they were good at.

Morneau is already having a great game though. Let's hope he keeps this going.

102 pitches is high point for Diamond this yr (5 of 14 over 100)....will gardy pull him at 100 pitches with either a no hitter, or a shutout, or a chance to not use the pen????

I think Span should teach Casilla how to bunt.
