• Twins vs White Sox, 07-30-2012, 7:10pm

The big news of the weekend was that Francisco Liriano was traded for two White Sox players. Fan outrage and then the grief process followed. Whether you like it or not, Francisco is done and the Twins now have Pedro Hernandez and somebody named Escobar.

The other news of the weekend was that the Twins beat the tar out of the Cleveland Indians in a three game set, scoring double digits in two of the games. Excellent pitching performances were the calling card of the weekend as Twins starters went deep into games and stymied the Indians offense all weekend.

Tonight, the Twins host the White Sox (but no, you-know-who isn't pitching yet) as Cole De Vries takes on Jose Quintana. The Sox swept the Twins just last week but after their dominating performance against Cleveland, the Twins surely want revenge. Can they do it? What do you expect from De Vries tonight and can the Twins get to Quintana? Join the discussion below and tell us about it!

Close play, but he was clearly out. Hopefully that doesn't come back to bite the Twins.

Fien really gets fired up after getting that third out. Nice job getting out of that jam.

Does anybody else out there have the sick feeling that a one-run lead is not going to hold up? We need more runs, guys!

No, I don't. Maybe i'mve, dumb. Twins bullpen is solid, getting to it, with a lead, is the problem.

Span gets a nice ovation before his at bat. I wonder if the fans sense this could be his final at bat in Minnesota.

Haha yeah, pretty obvious when there are 2 outs and no one on base. Not exactly a sacrifice-type situation.
