  1. Dear Seth:

Read your story on the Twins' week in the minor leagues. I watched Nate Roberts in the AFL Championship (on TV). One thing that struck me is his speed – he easily went from first to third on a single. *This guy is certainly aggressive – which may be part of the reason he lead AFL players in hitting. I know he's probably slated for AA this year, but I hope they invite him to spring training.*
I also know the Twins have a lot of good outfielders ahead of him. Maybe we could trade him for pitching??
  2. Thank you. It it a lot of work, but it's the stuff I really enjoy the most.

I really enjoy the Top 50 Article. That's the kind of stuff I really look forward to... must be a ton of work to put it together.

Hello Seth. I feel like we got off on the wrong foot. I apologize for my past misgivings and hope to earn your trust as a baseball fan. You have a plethora of baseball knowledge and insight. You take the positive road most of the time and that is good. Where does negativity bring us? I hope you can give my candidacy for being a Twins Daily participant a 2nd chance.

    Hey Seth,
I feel like I'm missing something here. Is there a way to get an RSS to your podcast so it will automatically download to my podcast catcher? I can't seem to figure it out on the blogtalk site.
    Thanks,
    Heather
  6. No problem. It was good... We're all busy so we don't always promote as much as we should...

Also, saw you reported that Message... we have banned that person from the site... but it wasn't before she/he apparently hit quite a few people. We're dealing with a lot of spam and trying to figure out the best way to do that.
  7. Seth, thanks for promoting today's post!

Twins Minor League Report (5/23): Baxendale, Darnell Shine

by Seth Stohs on 05-23-2013 at 10:29 PM
I’ve been following the Twins minor league system pretty much daily for the past eight years. I can honestly say that I have not seen a pitcher have a stretch like DJ Baxendale has to start this season. His May numbers (see below) have been incredible. But there were other great performances including a 22-year-old southpaw throwing eight innings in New Britain. And Ft. Myers continues to get offense from unlikely sources.

Check out what happened in the Twins minor league system on

Step Right Up...

by Seth Stohs on 05-23-2013 at 08:09 AM
It is now late May, and the Twins season is at a crossroads. The team has lost eight straight games as it embarks on a four-game series in Detroit against the Tigers. The season is in flux, and right now, the roster, specifically the starting rotation, is in flux.

Before tonight's game, the Twins will add Samuel Deduno to their 40 man roster and then their 25 man roster. Most likely, Tim Wood will be put on the 60 Days Disabled List. Following another poor performance on Thursday, the

Twins Minor League Report (5/20): Sano Powers Miracle

by Seth Stohs on 05-22-2013 at 12:24 AM
The Twins losing streak went to seven games with a tough loss in Atlanta. They’ll have to get over it quick for a noon game (Eastern) on Wednesday. Twins Daily has learned that Chris Colabello will be attempting to join the Twins in time for the game.

Virgil Vasquez made a spot start in place of the promoted Sam Deduno. Trevor May had one of the craziest line scores you’ll see. One Twins minor leaguer hit a homer for the third straight game on Tuesday, and it isn’t the same guy that

Chris Colabello to be promoted to Twins

by Seth Stohs on 05-22-2013 at 12:00 AM
Though we do not know the follow up transactions (DL and 40 man implications), Twins Daily has learned from multiple sources that Chris Colabello has been promoted to the Minnesota Twins. He'll have a very early morning flight and hope to join the Twins for Wednesday's game in Atlanta.

It is possible that Colabello will take the 25-man roster spot of Trevor Plouffe, who was kneed in the back of the head on a slide at second base. He left the game and was clearly woozy. Likely Eduardo

Twins MLB Draft Profile: Austin Meadows, OF

by Seth Stohs on 05-20-2013 at 11:20 PM
Today, we continue our look at players that the Minnesota Twins could consider drafting with the #4 overall pick in next month's MLB Draft. Today, we look at an uber-talented prep player from a baseball hotbed!

Who Is This Guy?

It can be argued that outfielder Austin Meadows is the top-rated high school position player in the 2013 MLB Draft. It can also be argued that Austin Meadows is not the top-rated high school position player in the 2013 MLB Draft from Loganville,
