AP: Pavano's Spleen
Former Twin Carl Pavano has spleen removed - TwinCities.com
Aaron says this means I'm going to lose my bet, longshot that it was. But I wouldn't be totally shocked to see Pavano and the Twins reembrace soemtime during the season, when he's healthier and reality sets in for this rotation.Agent David Pepe said doctors were not able to control bleeding, and Pavano's spleen was removed last week. Pepe hopes Pavano will be released from the hospital this week. He would not put a timetable on the free agent's possible return to baseball.
And I'd love to see it, because "Pavano's Spleen" sounds like a great roto team name.

I thought it sounded like some kind of punk band. Too bad for Pavano, he didn't seem to have much momentum going for him this offseason. I hope he recovers and get's another chance, still, I'd have to think the Twins would need to be in contention if they were to add a veteran pitcher mid-season.

The spleen and Pavano are so similar it's eerie; when healthy both serve a function, but if they happen to become diseased, both can be removed from their host (the human body or Twins) and life will go on as normal.

Sounds painful and terrible, hope he recovers.
Regarding your bet - I think there is 0% chance he comes back to the Twins.
