Finding a QB
Thoughts on either:
A.) Drafting a QB (not super thrilled at the current class)
B.) Giving Joe Webb a shot?
C.) Trading for Michael Vick
D.) Trading for Matt Flynn
E.) Trading for Matt Moore
F.) Bringing back Brett Favre

I would give a late rounder for Flynn and draft a QB. If the guy can start right away scrap the Flynn move.

For the life of me, I would like to know what Webb did to never get a serious chance. He is the Slama of the Vikings.

Ponder has one more game IMO. If Frazier doesn't sit him after another horrible game he should be fired. Let Webb play for a few weeks and see how he does. I'd throw the Jets a 7th round pick for Tebow and draft 2 QB's in the 2nd and 4th rounds next year. I'm a huge fan of Barkley and Mariota. The Vikes will be out of the Barkely sweepstakes, but will probably be bad enough for the next few years to have a shot at Mariota.... I might even think about giving up some big picks for Barkely, he is damn good.
Do or do not. There is no try.

Can I pick none of the above? No, that does not mean that I think Ponder is the answer. I think you have to give Ponder enough time to either stink it up good so we move up in the draft or he turns it around. Him turning things around would be my lesser choice because I think he is a 8-10 win a year QB that will keep us drafting mid to late for a while. My preference would be to ride him through the next 4 games anyway and by then the smell could be enough to cut ties. Unless everything turns around big time we won't win over 2 more games with any of the above and at least 1/2 will be free agents at the end of the season along with several others. Draft around 8-12 slot and add talent there and a QB through free agency unless someone really falls in the draft.

well thank goodness all we have to do to get one of Luck or Griffin is to lose a meaningless game on the road against washington and BAM! problem solved...........oh wait.

I'd sniff around Matt Flynn or even Ryan Mallet if the price was right. Ponder doesn't have it. He's so mentally defeated that he may be unsalvageable.

Tomorrows game IMO is his most important start in his career. The fans are going to be against him and booing him the whole time, if he comes out and stinks up the joint again I think there is a good shot he is benched coming out of the bye, however if he can somehow come out and have a good game without Percy Harvin, it at least shows that he has earned the rest of the year to prove himself.

He should start regardless. Leave no doubt that he's garbage. If we bench him the apologists will insist he's "still only had 20 games to start" or whatever. Leave no doubt - play him and suffer with that awful pick until you have to make a move.
