Partial page loads
Just curious if I'm the only one who seems to have to refresh my browser quite a bit due to partial page loads...

I'll add my two cents worth that I do sometimes see it freeze up, and when it does it does so for a certain period of time regardless of which TwinsDaily page I'm trying to view, and the status line at the bottom indicates it's trying to load something from doubleclick or similar looking ad sites.
Another gripe, which hasn't occurred lately, is ads that have video with sound that comes on without my asking it to. Maybe one should not be viewing recreational websites if sound is an issue, i.e. at work, but it still seems anti-social behavior from an ad. I realize you don't pick and choose the ads, but this is behavior that cuts down on my coming here. Maybe you fixed that and it's why I haven't noticed it lately.

It always loads the list of threads in a particular section, ie Twins Talk or On the Farm but when you click on a thread it only shows the initial post and no others. You have to hit refresh, sometimes as much as 5 times to get it to load further.
I haven't determined whether it's dependent on the time of day or not, it's been totally fine today so far.

Interesting. I haven't run into it at all and I browse the site quite a bit on both PC and Mac using a wide variety of browsers.

Started again around 12:30 and has been an on again off again problem since then. Right now, in this thread, all I can see is diehards post and your latest reply, you reply shows up horizontal and his is vertical. Currently using Firefox.
Can't get into any other threads beyond the first post on each page......weird!

I'm very sorry about these problems. We are working to address them, but we unfortunately have a 3rd party involved....
Our ad supplier was bought by another company a few months ago, and I'm noticing problems like this during their transition. We've been meaining to look into other options, but just haven't had time to do so. It sounds like these are related to them messing up the feeed they're giving us. For instance, the load after the first page sounds like the ad after that first post is hanging things up. And we would NEVER willingly accept a video playing sound to pop up on the site. That's the ad company messing up the types of ads they feed us, just like they sometimes put larger ads in place of the smaller ones that we are supposed to show.
We're very sorry about these sort of things. Unfortunately, fixing them is more of a process (and not one we can control directly) rather than a quick fix. I appreciate your patience, and don't hesitate to give us feedback when it's not going well. That's something we can take to our ad provider.
Sincerely,
John

Yeah I am seeing the auto roll ads and expanding ads again and it freezes up the ability to enter some of the forums, I don't mind having to reload a time or two, but a lot of people will get turned off by the whole thing.
Is USAToday/Big Lead Sports still running the ads?
I guarantee you they can turn off the auto play, video, expanding ads very very easily, if they are continuing to jerk you around you should just threaten to leave them (plenty of other companies out there would take your traffic)
