Yeah, he's interesting guy for sure. No power, not much speed, but good plate discipline. I don't know if he'll be a MLBer. But who knows...at age 27/28 you might see him in Oakland's lineup. :)

One thing on Dozier...no idea the market for him. Plus his value to us (blue collar guy who buys into the Twins idea, loves MN, hunting, fishing, etc type) might be higher than to potential suitors. ...

Yes. You sell high. Billy Beane, etc...or anybody in anything, you sell high. And the thing is, he's a FA at the end of the year. Handle him right and you can go back after him after the year (if he...
yeah...Herrmann isn't the answer.
Here's there "top 20" prospects according to MLB.com
Bowden is right though...Molina's age and contract says they only need a rental for the rest of the year. Suzuki makes the most sense. Highest value with only a 1 year deal.
Because I doubt they'd be willing to move any of their starting pitching or starting pitching prospects...
IF they came to us, I'd start the conversations at Piscotty (RF) from AAA and a low A...
Buxton isn't on the 40 man...would love to see it. But yea...
I hope Meyer comes up sooner...he's going to be 25 next season, be nice to get him a few big league starts before he turns 25.

Here's a link with a few more years to add to the sample size.
2010 and 2011 was a bit better...a few other years as well. Still...

Dunn gets a few too many BB's for my Walker comp.
My comp: Half-Caff Jose Abreu

I'm qualified sans the JS (backbone? Angular? either way, JS is some voodoo magic!), and wife would never leave the DFW for MN Winters.
Very similar to the job that the Texas Rangers posted a...
Could potentially soften the likelihood of Suzuki being traded...or at least gives said team a shot at another catcher before they'd get 'desperate' to try the trade market of Suzuki...
Of all the SP who got $10M+ per year and for 2 or more years this past Free Agency:
Ubaldo...leads MLB in BB's

Man...if you're this kid, you're getting slighted $3M...that's pretty ballsy for the Astros to low-ball him like that.
Would he consider just going to college then?
Or, is the risk so great on...
Each year there's around 20-40 International FA signings per team and 40 rounds in the June Rule IV Draft. The June Rule IV has more players who make MLB, however, the WAR for the international...
The only 'hiccup' I can see with trading or cleaning house...is will it deter players from signing here going forward?
I can Willingham or Morales being traded quite easily. Not sure about...
What the Red Sox, Rangers, and Cubs have done...and what they Yankees, Red Sox, and Rays are doing - I wouldn't call it cheating. But definitely compromising the integrity of the rule.
I agree here. Have to believe the Yankees feel this group of Int FA's is worth being locked out except for max bonuses of $300K of their pool, and as many $50K fliers (they're except from counting...
Yankees signed 8 out of the top 30 prospects (according to BA)...
Curious how much $$$ that amounts to.
The Twins got their 2nd major signing....$450K.
Jean Carlos Arias, OF, L/L, 5'10'' 150.

Sounds like Mike Trout.
'16 years old' and 'consistent'...in the same sentence? Not likely.
Wonderful 'lotto pick' if you will. Looking forward to a few more $500K+ signings and many of the $50K fliers.
I was 5'10''...
If they're 5-9 before the All-Star break...I'd expect we'd be 12 games or so out of 1st...and then the FO would likely be very open to trades. Especially since Morales & Willingham can leave the...
I thought I remember thinking this too...but maybe not? Do you recall which play?
I know in the rundown that caught Adrian Beltre off of 1st...but that was Esocar or the Pitcher not coming in...

yeah...faced 4 guys, walked 4 guys. So bascially, he's unhittable.
In the age of stupidity...continuing along the likes of Stephen Drew et al, but in regards to the Rule IV Draft.
I give you Dustin DeMuth...the Twins 8th RD pick from a year ago.
