I like the original post's vague idea (I had a similar one), but they need to improve their lineup as well. Too many holes, and Ryan and Pohlad, I'm afraid, aren't committed to do anything drastic...
I'm assuming that you want Josmil Pinto to start at Catcher in the near term, right? Is he good enough behind the plate to play 100 games there?

John, $400K really that big of a gamble? Suppose the chance was 20% that Zumaya could even contribute. Isn't that worth the risk?
