If that were to happen - Joe would have to hit .390... right?:)
I respect your opinion. This thread was created to simply visualize what TD poster's predictions are for the fun of it. My prediction was based on the offensive friendly environment that is Coors...
If Andre Gallaraga can hit .370 and win a Batting Title at the age of 32 after it appeared his career was washed up - I do not think it is outlandish to predict Morneau hitting 25 HR's while playing...
I am 100% in RiverBrian's corner on Deduno. If the season were to start tomorrow and Deduno is healthy - he is definitely not our #5 starter - he is somewhere between our #2 and #4 starting pitcher....
Now that Morneau's signing with the Rockies is official. I am curious to read what you folks think his offensive numbers will look like at the conclusion of the 2014 season.
My take: 25ish HR's ē...

The last week it was hard not to envision this becoming reality.
I'm going to take a sunny-side up view point on Pelfrey's signing.
2014 Garza: After signing with the Diamondbacks Matt's...

I definitely would choose Garza over Pelfrey. Signing him to a 4-5 year contract would be big risk, just as it would be a big risk to sign the other two remaining top free agent starters Santana and...

Well, this partially explains the cause of Eric Wedge's stroke this past June. No job is worth that kind of stress and disfunction.
Good for Wedge and Blengino for speaking out. My gut tells me...
No matter anybody's feelings on Tom Glavine - he is definitely a HOFer. Whether he gets voted in next month or 2015 or 2016 - there is nothing anyone can do to stop it... it is a certainty.
I appreciate the different view points people have on the HOF elections. Some think it should be cut & dry - your either a HOFer or not - on the 1st ballot, some like to vote in the cinches and...
A "10" is probably unattainable, but if the Twins sign Kasmir and Navarro/Pierzynski to go along with Nolasco, this would be a pretty damn good off season that would have me giving a grade of 8.875. ...

Wow! I am surprised to say the least.
Besides the game threads, this is the most positive thread in the History of Twins Daily.
I definitely could get use to this.:)
Also... The only players I see as shoe-ins are Greg Maddux and the Big Hurt.
This is not meant to chap anyone's hide, but if you did not see Frank Thomas play in his prime... I do not think you should have an opinion or leg to stand on his induction to the HoF.
Probably not. He was more of a regurgitator than an artist.
But, Who doesn't like a balding, super long and curly mullet headed man who can sing a little. He may not be an "Artist", but that...
I love these kind of threads.
2. Big Hurt
6. Morris (St. Paul Native loyalty vote)

If Saltalamacchia signed with the Twins, like most, at the onset of the signing I would be pretty stoked.
After that, I would start thinking about how he was non-existent offensively in...

In a Glen Perkins to the Detroit Tigers trade I would request Porcello and Rondon. If they scoff at that, I walk away from the table.
If I am trading an All-Star to a division rival, it is...
I like McCann and I am sure most do. As we all know the Twins have bigger fish to fry. The greatest attribute McCann could bring to the Twins is leadership and the fire as a player he possesses......

Trenchant is way to kind, but I thought Bourjos had more value than that. Bourjos and Grichuk to the Cards for Freese and Salas... WTF?
But what the hell do I know?:)

Moving away from the Twins...
Understanding that Boston will probably be in the market for a New CF and the Angels most definitely need starting pitching, maybe a deal involving Peter Bourjos and...

Although I have analyzed this post quite thoroughly and can't find the smoking gun. There has to be a Nishioka joke hidden somewhere in between the lines.:)

Yes, you have the right to be pissed off. I actually think they will attempt to sign a pitcher of significance. The only notable pitchers who have signed with a club is Josh Johnson and Tim Hudson,...

It's early in the game. Let's face it, I do not think Minnesota is the top destination for the top free agent pitchers.
I am certainly not saying they cannot acquire a Nolasco, Arroyo or a...
