Why, when this thread started the Twins' were @ 3 and they currently are @ 4. Is the one day enough to move the target up by 2?
No, he has to go on waivers 3 days before day 10. The waiver process is 3 days. He would have to clear waivers (or be claimed) before the 10 day DFA period expires.
You are correct. I jumped the gun. I believe they have 10 days to do something with him after being DFA'd (7 days before they have to put him on waivers).
Considering he is on waivers, if the Twins claimed him Oakland wouldn't have much bargaining power so it wouldn't take much in a trade as Oakland's only option would be to pull him back. If they did...
Yes, when they placed Willingham on the DL the recalled Tonkin so they are currently carrying 13 pitchers.
With Bartlett and Arcia already on the DL, they added both Herrmann and Mastroianni to...
Sticky: Herrmann and Escobar
Herrmann and Escobar
Well that was the inning where Bartlett scored from 1st (after being HBP) on Colabello bases clearing double.
According the the Twins Website Bartlett sprained his ankle sliding home in the 6th inning yesterday.

The most obvious one is David Ortiz, but that is mainly due to his home ballpark.

While I agree that it is a small sample size, he has looked lost at the plate. He hasn't even be close to making contact with a pitch let alone get a hit.
Also his defense in LF made Delmon Young...

Here's the Twins Lineup:

Pitch count wise he could've, but between the offense, the pitching changes and the long review he was sitting for a long time so Gardy decided not to send him back out.

I'm not saying that I don't like this lineup, but I just don't like how they "rewarded" Suzuki for his 2-4, 3RBI opening day by moving him down to the 7 spot.

It doesn't really matter if Opening Day is a National Holiday unless they make it a Mandatory Holiday. Companies don't have to honor/acknowledge most Holidays anyway.
Where are getting the Profit since 2007? Forbes doesn't list profit, the list operating income which is NOT profit.
As has been mentioned, Alex Presley was claimed by the Astros.
In other news, both Parmelee and Diamond cleared waivers and have been outrighted to AAA. Diamond hasn't decided whether to accept...

This was announced on Tuesday. That was the deadline to inform him that he made the roster, release him or pay him a $100k retention bonus. Guerrier had the same deadline and they released him and...

I agree that Kubel is in. Interesting thought on Arcia.
It appears that was an opt out date for Bartlett, there is no Retention Bonus associated with it as with Guerrier and Kubel.
There is a difference between Guerrier (same with Kubel) and Barlett. Guerrier needed to be notified by tomorrow if he was making the MLB roster and if not would've had to been release or paid $100k...
You are right, we just don't know what this team is going to do offensively (other than Mauer of course).
Was last year a fluke for both Dozier and Willingham?
Can Plouffe find consistency?
While I agree that Colabello should head North, he is the one most likely to get optioned just because the can with out risking losing anybody.
I agree with this.
If Kubel and/or Parmelee stink it up we can cut bait and bring up Colabello. I recall Diamond be okay once through the order and gets shelled the 2nd through. Maybe he can...

That's Ryan Pressly the Rule 5 pitcher that we acquired last year that got optioned not Alex Pressley the OF.
Right now the Twins' have 16 position players and 13 pitchers in camp. So it looks...

Twins optioned Herrmann, Pressly and Tonkin.
That leaves 29 in camp.
