The bunting thing... ugh. It's one thing if you're a player that can effectively bunt for hits, but no AL team should have a hitter in their lineup whose best offensive contribution is a sacrifice...

The slash line that P-Flo put up last year was below acceptable in my opinion. I would have replaced him then if there was any kind of alternative, but the Twins didn't (and still don't) have any...

It's sad that we have to choose.
Florimon isn't going to hit .000, and Nunez isn't going to butcher every play. The reality is probably pretty close to even.

Maybe Hicks could play a little deeper.

A) Florimon operates a center that cares for sick and injured chiropterans;
B) Florimon was impressive in his audition to play Batman in the next movie;
C) That's Dan Gladden for you.
If everything breaks right for Gibson, I think he could be very similar to Justin Masterson.
Not an ace, but maybe a good #2.
I'd wait until he proves he can put up a decent OBP.

Still not a big Deduno fan, but he's one of the best five starters on the team.
I like that Gibson is in the rotation, because I believe it's got to be sink-or-swim time with him. More time in...

Pelf will be OK once he completely recovers from TJ surgery.

Just saw that...
Great choice by CBS... but I'm going to miss the political satire of the Report.

I don't care about the money. If it starts hindering the team from bringing in better talent, or if it has already, that's the fault of the owners.
I just want to see Mauer be more aggressive at...

It's not anybody on the team's strong suit. The last three years the Twins baserunning as a team has been terrible.
I guess Molitor's coaching hasn't sunk in yet.

I think Hughesey would do a lot better if he got out of the Twin Cities media meat-grinder and the bandbox that is Target Field.

I think you hit on it here:
"...unless other players around him in the batting order are the ones stepping up, he may not have the means to make a profound impact on this club's run production."...
I think it's pronounced "Boom Beezy".

I'm happy for the guy.
He'll do great as long as he can keep up that .500 BABIP.

Nice to know the Twins aren't the only ones who can play a laughable inning in the field.
Due up for the Sox: Howard, Fine, and Howard.

The White Sox are really scrambling to get Escobar out. It must be because they were preparing for Florimon and got bamboozled by Gardy's "typo" on the lineup card.

From what I'm seeing on Gameday, I'm a little concerned about Hughsie's Nasty Factor.

Bartlett > Bonifacio (at chemistry).
04-03-2014, 12:19 PM
Maybe he "accidentally" revealed the wrong lineup to the White Sox?

A little bait-and-switch subterfuge by Chessmaster Gardenhire?
Yeah, I mean, obvy.
I'm just at a loss to explain how his defensive problems weren't a big enough issue in the minors to move him off shortstop at that time. We mentioned his arm - his ability...
Plouffe's arm makes Jacque Jones blush. And at least Jones was an outfielder so he couldn't do as much damage with it.
I wonder how it was that Plouffe stuck at shortstop in the minors for so...
