Would Gardy let him play SS on his off days?

If so, he will be the first active hall of famer.

With the time it takes pelfrey to pitch...gib-sony might make the hall of fame before the end of this game. #meyeryet # mayyet #hoffmanyet

by the time this game gets over tyler kolek might be taking pelfreys spot.

The real question is, will he be the first to receive a unanimous vote?

Must be Gibby's having been drafted in the first round that gets him HoF buzz after only one very strong start instead of two, like future Korean Baseball Organization Hall of Famer Andrew Albers.

I have to disagree with the emerging consensus here. His salary of $502,500 is going to hamstring the front office for years, and the sportswriters are going to crucify him when the time comes.

I honestly feel like Gibson and Hughes are going to make a pretty nice 2/5 of a rotation this year.

However, it may be early to giving any serious thought to the Hall of Fame for Gibson.

Okay you guys need to calm down.

I'm sure LEN3 is calling an emergency meeting of the BBWA right now to vote Gibson in

Gibson pitches Twins to 1/2 game out of first.

I just hope Mauer won't feel butthurt when Gibson's contract extension dwarfs Joe's meager pay.

Even Christy Mathewson had a bad game or two. I don't see why there is this rush to judgement on the youngster; just induct him into the HoF already.

Call me overly cautious if you will, but I'm going to need to see one more start.

The Twins waited one too many games, and now his trade value is shot.
I will one day successfully sneak onto the Sportive Podcast, and have nothing intelligent to say or add to the conversation.

That's OK. Guarantees him wearing a Twins cap on his HOF plaque.

No, he'll prolly choose the hat of the Yankees after they sign him as a FA because the stupid Twins have already blown their opportunity to sign him to a below market lifetime extension.

Hey! I was trying very hard to avoid thread jacking. I will comment on the (obvious) Hughes HOF qualifications on the appropriate thread.

This thread, by the way, is pretty funny and one of the better efforts of Twins Daily in some time.
