I thought it was because the Deduno's catcher tends to get a little beat up and they don't want to expose Suzuki to that.

He mentioned that but it was more tongue in cheek that he thought Suzuki would appreciate not having to get beat up. He expounded that they thought it would help sharpen him behind the plate with Deduno being a little more wild and you can't just hold your glove in one spot and expect him to hit the target.

Dozier takes an awful hack at a pitch a foot out of the zone and Mauer flies out to left. Who didn't see that coming?

Dozier having a rough go of it lately. He missed that by 1 foot and a half. And Mauer hit's it long for an out. Our rabbits foot has left the team.

They are good... I'll give you an 8 out of 10.

For the full 10... You will need Bo Derek or the actual Terry Ryan pounding the table.

Actually Bo Derek was always just OK... I always thought there were better 10's... So that won't work either.

High top end, but great acceleration too. More useful for infielding and base-stealing than max speed. Hope he's ok. Now Hicks gets to bat against a lefty, which might be even better than the mental break of watching from the dugout...

    I thought Hicks was hurt?

Well... Seems as if he's not. There goes the retroactive DL idea.

Actually, an 8 seems generous. And yeah, Bo Derek seemed less 10ish than some of her contemporaries even before she hooked up with Rob Lowe in Tommy Boy, thereby retroactively removing most of her prior hotness.

Santana will be fine. Batting helmets are dangerous though. I think that's why they were outlawed until the 50s.

Don't worry, still plenty of game left for a real injury.
