Well, Valencia finds a way to get on first base, so I suppose a little credit is due (even though that was a pretty bad call by the ump).

I assume Deduno gets his whispering fix between innings.

Kotchman might or might not have gotten the bag, but he was a lot closer than Danny.

Did anyone else think the 1st base ump double clutched there? "He's ou...ou...SAFE!"

    Off the scoreboard type triple.
There isn't enough defense on the planet to justify giving 500+ PA to a guy who can barely OPS .600.

You'll forgive me for not giving Danny any credit for Hanahan's bad throw.

I have a feeling this is going to be the running joke of the night. Although in Snepp's defense, he was right to call out Dick and Bert.

Son of Sal is obviously calling the game from the dugout.

Relay-type signs to Deduno through Mauer.

No, and that was kind of a tongue-in-cheek-type comment. But good things can happen occasionally if you just put the ball in play..

So what are the chances of Deduno becoming a reliable #4 or #5 starter for a few years?

    On this squad... Real good.

If he can gain some control of his pitches and be consistent, I think he could be an asset.
