Wilkin Ramirez will return to Rochester
Outfielder Wilkin Ramirez will be returning to the Twins and Red Wings in the 2013 season. He will again be playing under a minor league contract, but he will get another spring training invitation. Ramirez is 27 years old today and has played in 35 Major League games in his career. He played 15 games for the Tigers in 2009 and 2010. He played in 20 games for the 2011 Atlanta Braves. Once a top prospect, Ramirez certainly still has some talent. In 2012, he hit .276 with 15 homers and 54 RBI in 98 games with the Red Wings.
The Twins had previously signed six of their own minor league free agents.
Pitchers: Miguel Munoz, Edgar Ibarra

There are still some interesting Twins 6-year minor league free agents that would need to be considered, including: James Beresford, Anderson Hidalgo, Aaron Thompson, Brendan Wise, Estarlin de Los Santos, Ray Chang and more. Guys that were dropped yesterday and not claimed by another team should now be free agents. Kyle Waldrop and Jeff Manship are two guys that I'm sure the Twins would want to keep in their system but that will certainly be looking elsewhere.
